Hi! I’m Mike McKenna, the Owner and President of ReFound.  I am part of the team at Royal Lepage Anchor Realty and also a registered Canadian Personal Property Appraiser.

Following a career as a sales assistant in the automotive retail industry, where I managed a team focused on excellent customer service, I returned to university to obtain a Bachelor of Education.  I spent the next 10 years as a teacher with the Halifax Regional School Board, working as a Special Education teacher at Dartmouth High School.

Drawing on the connections I made in the community, as well as my experience with helping my parents to downsize, I saw a need for a local company to help people transition through the downsizing process.  While I knew I’d miss my students, I decided to serve the community in a different way.

I opened the ReFound shop in 2014, at 5 Thistle Street – a shop that many Dartmouthians refer to as the “old McCormick’s Grocery Store.”

ReFound isn’t only a great place to find antique tools, retro décor or vintage collectibles, it’s also a tool to keep items from ending up in our landfills. We help to find a new home for items – benefiting buyers, sellers and the environment.

As licensed Realtor®, I’m in the unique position to provide downsizing services, list and sell your property, search for your next home, and purchase interesting vintage items to stock the shelves at ReFound.
